This site is to be supplemental material to my presentation at SIVB in June of 2024. These resources will be available long after my talk for you to go back and visit.

The target audience is those who are in or have completed a graduate degree in plant sciences (biology, plant breeding, pathology, etc). The purpose of this presentation is to supply researchers with the tools to start cloning for plant transformation in their labs.

I owe a great thanks to PlantGene who supported me with resources and offered me the opportunity to present at SIVB.

Who am I?
My name is Katie Toomey, and I am a PhD student in the Parrott lab at UGA. I am researching prime editing for precision gene modifications and the development/utilization of landing pads for targeted genome insertion. I love science communication and helping others learn the tools they need to succeed.

See the links on the left(desktop) or below(mobile) to go to the various modules for this talk!
